What my children would miss most would be my love of course!
I have a pedometer challenge at work and I’m forever trying to find excuses to walk more so I drag the kids outside with me on my walks.
My son would miss being able to steal my cell phone and walk around the house pretending like he’s talking to someone really important and then yelling at me when I try to take the phone from him after all he is talking to the President!
My kids would miss their special bedtime songs. Ever since the kids were little, we have had the same bedtime routine. If I weren’t home to sing their special snuggle songs, that one minute that’s just theirs and mine, they’d really miss me.
If the aliens took me, my kids would miss having someone around who can translate for them. No, they don’t speak a foreign language or anything like that. It’s just that sometimes it seems that the boys and their Dad are speaking two different languages to each other–and that only I can translate.
I paint my daughter’s nails and do her hair, and totally get the Princess thing. After all, I was once a little girl too!
My daughters set alarm clocks every day, but they both depend on me to actually make them get out of bed. They complain that I nag them, but they won’t get up without assistance.
Friday nights the kids and I head down to our family room, pull out the pull out sofa bed, flip back the recliners, and pick a good family film to enjoy. If I were gone today, they would miss out on seeing Mars Needs Moms when it comes out for home viewing!
My little ones like to be kissed and soothed after head bonks or falls by me. Yes, Daddy can do this too, but moms have a special touch.
As a photographer I am always taking photos of them. I know they would miss it if I were gone.
